JW Marriott Hotel Jakarta Launches Chaiholics

Easy Breezy

Authentic tea café chain opens its 1st flagship bistro in Indonesia.

JW Marriott Hotel Jakarta is revamping its lobby terrace area by launching a new hip bistro, CHAIHOLICS – Indonesia’s first flagship tea bistro. Originating from Singapore, Chaiholics is a food and beverage establishment specialising in tea-based creations.

With the literal translation of “spiced tea”, the chai from Chaiholics uses exotic blends of tea, ethically hand-grown from pesticide-free tea gardens. Some of the premium teas, such as Bulgarian Rose Tea, are planted in the tea garden where the Honourable Dalai Lama drinks his teas in the Himalayan mountains.

The exotic tea, or chai lattes as they’re commonly known in the Western world, are uniquely brewed using an Italian-made, customized, manual espresso machine known as the ‘Chaipresso’ and as such, Chaiholics is the first tea cafe chain that has the patentfor espresso-style, chai latte machines in Indonesia.

“As the latest food and beverage outlet in the hotel, amidst a cozy and classy al fresco setting, Chaiholics warmly welcomes patrons on the way to the hotel’s lobby,” says Adeza Hamzah, Cluster Director of Marketing. “With the irresistible aromas of freshly brewed, single origin, pure, and spiced tea latte beverages, passers-by simply have no excuses to not stop by for a quick chai or a cake,” adds Adeza.

One of Chaiholics’ signature products is a chai latte, with six different natural spiced flavors, from classic masala, zesty ginger, refreshing lemongrass, aromatic cardamom, summer rose, and chocolate-t. Their specialties also include tea and yogurt coolers, a refreshing overnight tea infused concoction. For the sweeter tooth, Chaiholics also offers a yummy, tea-infused, soft serve summer rose and chocolate-t ice cream and yogurt option.

Signature eggless cakes such as orange pound, lemon peel, dark chocolate, and the delightfully rich fruit cake are also on the delectable menu. Some of the savoury delights on offer include the mouth-watering chicken tikka charcoal croissant, oxtail sambal koja, and oxtail samosas to name but a few of the freshly made dishes by the culinary team of the JW Marriott Hotel Jakarta.

With space for up to 70 guests, Chaiholics is open daily from 7am to 11pm. Aside from serving great tea beverages and a specially curated all day, leisure dining menu, the Chaiholics product range also includes an exciting array of lifestyle merchandising: Chaiholics tea-shirts (‘Drink & Drive’, ‘Caution Hot’, ‘Die-Hard Chaiholic’), teapot treasure hampers, 3-in-1 tea gift sets, premium cookies and a variety of 50g retail tea tins.
