Rerun of Election to be Held in Parts of Bekasi and Tangerang

The Election Supervisory Board (Bawaslu) in Banten also recommended 10 polling stations to hold a re-election by April 27 due to various violations

The General Election Commission (KPU) of Bekasi City has set the schedule for a follow-up election in six polling stations (TPS) on Sunday, April 21, due to incomplete ballots.

“Voting will be done because there were missing ballots during election day on April 17,” said Nurul Sumarheni, head of KPU Bekasi.

Tomorrow, six polling stations are set to hold a follow-up election. Two of the TPS are in Arenjaya area. The other four are in Kaliabang area and will be to elect the West Java DPRD candidate.

The Election Supervisory Board (Bawaslu) in Banten also recommended 10 polling stations to hold a re-election by April 27 due to various violations. The ten polling stations are located in Tangerang District and South Tangerang City.

Didih M. Sudi, head of Bawaslu Banten, cited several violations such as tampered ballots, the unwitnessed recapitulation of votes, as well as opening of voting boxes, and the presence of voters without a valid A5 form.
