Paulaner Br?uhaus Welcomes its Sixth Oktoberfest

Oktoberfest vaganza at Paulaner Brauhaus, Jakarta.

Paulaner Bräuhaus, Indonesia’s only genuine German microbrewery, will celebrate its sixth Oktoberfest this year. The festival will run from 2 to 5 October 2019 and is set to be the biggest for the brewery and the only truly authentic Oktoberfest in the Jakarta.

Indonesia’s only brewmaster, Arie Susanto, will commend the “Anstich” tradition in which the first litre of specially brewed Oktoberfest Bier will be tapped. The ingredients for this special brew are all imported from Munich and brewed on-site at Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta’s microbrewery.

Edelweiss Power will be flown in from Germany, in order to give these four days uber-fest a more authentic Bavarian vibe to Oktoberfest’s loyal patrons. Party-goers can dive into games, competitions and get serenaded to traditional music, as well as the most favourite party songs!

“This year’s Oktoberfest will top and be even merrier than last year’s, seeing the number of inquiries that we have received from our Oktoberfest lovers,” said Vinu John, Director of Food & Beverages Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta.

“The traditions of having our waiters and waitresses wearing traditional lederhosen and dirndl dresses, barrel after barrel of beer, mouth-watering wurst and pork knuckle, and singing and dancing until the early hours will still be the highlights,” Vinu added.

This year sees prices for Wednesday and Thursday nights (2nd and 3rd October) at IDR 600,000+++, which includes Paulaner’s most favourite sausage and meat platters, Oktoberfest’s free-flow special-brew beer, entertainment, a signature Paulaner Beer Mug and a guaranteed seat at a table. Table placement will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Meanwhile, on Friday and Saturday nights (4th and 5th October), the price will be IDR 650,000+++, including all of the above benefits.

Everyone is invited to come and experience the proud traditions of the world’s funkiest folk festival. One lucky guest can stand a chance to win a grand prize one return flight ticket (Jakarta–Istanbul–Jakarta) from Turkish Airlines.
