KPU Real Count: 68.25 Per Cent Completed, Jokowi Winning by Over 13 Million Votes

As of Monday, 6th May at 1.30 pm the temporary results, Jokowi has 13,089,825 more votes than Prabowo at this point.

The General Elections Commission (KPU) has given an update on its real count for the presidential election, revealing that Joko Widodo and Ma’ruf Amin still lead with over 56 per cent of votes.

As of Monday, 6th May at 1.30 pm the temporary results in the KPU’s vote count information system (situng) shows that Jokowi and his running mate Ma’ruf have garnered 58,371,007 votes or 56.29 per cent, while rivals Prabowo and Sandiaga Uno trailed with 45,281,182 votes or 43.71 per cent. Jokowi has 13,089,825 more votes than Prabowo at this point.

Based on the number of C1 forms uploaded by polling stations (TPS) all over Indonesia, the KPU has managed to complete 67.65 per cent of its real count in 555,124 polling stations out of a total of 813,350. The only province to have inaugurated from the KPU’s real count at 100 per cent in Bengkulu. Recapitulation of votes from Bangka Belitung, Southeast Sulawesi, Bali, and Gorontalo will soon be completed. Only about 19-20 per cent of votes from Papua and West Papua have been calculated so far.

The official results for the 2019 presidential election will be formally announced by the KPU on 22nd May 2019.
