American Citizen Arrested by Police for Alleged Drug Trafficking

An American citizen was arrested by the West Nusa Tenggara police for alleged drug trafficking on the resort island of Gili Trawangan.

A spokesman of the West Nusa Tenggara police, Adjunct Senior Commissioner Purnama, confirmed that they have arrested a US citizen identified by his initials, CS aged 46, in a raid on Gili Trawangan during the weekend.

“During the raid, the police found 1.21 kilograms of marijuana,” Purnama said. The police also discovered a set of meth pipes, empty plastic bags, some cash, as well as a tool to duplicate keys. Aside from CS, a 24-year-old local resident of Lombok was also arrested. They were both reported to have been distributing and consuming marijuana and methamphetamine.
