GO-JEK And Bahaso Team Up For Driver Language Training

Foreign language skills are not only a requirement for multi-national company employees, but also for online transport drivers, prompting GO-JEK to promote proficient English speaking among driver partners.

The on-demand transport giant revealed that it had teamed up with Bahaso to improve service and communications between drivers and passengers. GO-JEK will provide online training facilities to 100,000 driver partners in 25 cities.

GO-JEK is popular with local users and expats alike, explaining the move. The two signed an MOU at the GO-JEK headquarters May 24.

Vice President of Swadaya Program at GO-JEK Ardelia Apti said English skills are necessary to provide the best service for all customers.

“The ability to speak English properly can help our driver partners in providing the best service to the customers. Some of the customers who booked our service were expats. So, English language skills are needed so that our partners are more competent and able to communicate well when running orders,” Ardelia said in a release on Sunday, May 28.

Bahaso, according to Ardelia, provides an interesting English learning method and is suitable for the needs of the driver partners.

“We see Bahaso as a learning platform suitable for partners and can make them faster in mastering foreign languages ?flexibly without time constraints and with a very interesting approach, because it is done online,” Ardella said.

Bahaso itself is a pioneer in the teaching of foreign languages ??online in Indonesia. The learning method taught be Bahaso integrates text, sound, video and content to facilitate and accelerate the acquisition of foreign languages. Those who study foreign languages ??in Bahaso can learn anywhere anytime using smartphones either on iOS or Android and also through the website at www.bahaso.com.

Currently, Bahaso online training is provided to approximately 100,000 partner drivers spread across Indonesia. Later, those who have completed learning in Bahaso will get an official certificate issued by the University of Indonesia as a partner of Bahaso. Currently, Bahaso provides online learning for English. In addition, there will be several foreign languages ??such as Mandarin, French, German and more.
