Best Sport & Humour Apps

Funny Jokes

Humour is the best medicine. It may sound cheesy, but experts agree that laughter can improve job performance, increase our tolerance to discomfort, and can be the effective glue that keeps marriages together. The fact is we need laughter in our daily lives. Can you imagine taking everything seriously? You won’t only be putting clowns out of business but also increasing stress, as well as chances of getting sick.

On the other hand we also need to exercise more. Day after day we are sitting in the car to the office, we sit in the office and then we sit again in the car on the way back home. To make a humorous app or even a game that makes you laugh is easy, but how to make apps to make you exercise is a whole different ballgame. There are lots and lots of sport apps out there but most of them are passive ones; see the scores or follow your favourite club, sports hero, watch games online and so on.

However I have found an application that will make you do the exercise and maybe even put a smile on your face.

Humour Apps:

Funny JokesFunny Jokes

If you’re afraid your own jokes don’t pack a lot of punch, Funny Jokes can help you out. Browse through categories like Chuck Norris, Yo Mamma, dirty jokes, blonde jokes, riddles, and more. You can post the jokes up on Twitter or Facebook. There are a number of jokes that contain profanity, racism, sexism, and dark humour so exercise caution when you share these jokes Download for free Funny Jokes for your Android device.

Mood Scanner

The second app I would like to bring to your attention is the mood scanner. Mood Scanner is an app that tries to detect your mood via your mobile device’s touch screen. You don’t have to take this seriously, but you’ll be surprised at how many people do. Just like a mood ring, the Mood Scanner is packed with 80 different moods and feelings and has an icon to go with them. Show it off to your friends and have fun watching them try it out.

Sometimes Mood Scanner can be pretty spot on, whether it’s because of an algorithm programmed in to the app or because it’s just a coincidence. Mood Scanner works by asking you to place your thumb right on the spot on the screen. Give it a few moments and Mood Scanner will try to determine your mood. Mood Scanner may not be accurate but it’ll certainly function just as well as a gullibility measure. Mood Scanner is available, for free, on the Google Play Store.

Sport Apps:

NikeTrain like you mean it

How about that for a slogan and yes it’s an app from Nike. It will map your runs, track your progress and get the motivation you need to keep going. The Nike+ Running app tracks distance, pace, time and calories burnt with GPS, giving you audio feedback as you run. Automatically upload to nikeplus.com to see your runs, including your route and elevation. You can also activate a Power Song to help blast you towards a new record. The App also gives you positive feedback from some of Nike’s top athletes. Unfortunately it does not come for free you will have to pay $14.99 or a monthly recurring fee of $2.99, for the season. Available for Android and iOS.

Laugh, Exercise & Cry Apps:

Hang Time

Unless you’re really, really good at throwing and catching and your hand-eye coordination is second-to-none, it would be best to stay well clear of this app.

The rules for this app are simple: throw your beloved – and expensive – Apple gadget as high or as far as you can and this app will measure how long it stays in the air before you catch it – or before it smashes to the ground.

HangTime is a fun application for the iPhone and iPod Touch that uses the internal accelerometers to measure how long the device is in free fall, from the time it leaves your hand, to the time you catch it again.

It comes complete with personal and worldwide statistics and high scores, storing the time and location of your best throws, along with your profile information. Check out the Scores page for statistics on how many iPhones have been thrown up in the air worldwide and how much time iPhones have spent in freefall.

HangTime inevitably creates amusing situations and they have created a gallery where you can share pictures and videos of HangTime in use. Check out the Gallery page for pictures and videos of iPhones being thrown up in the air.

And on that note I would like to say keep laughing and watching your health.
